Description
Black Hole — Solvent-Based Tyre & Trim Dressing
Product overview
– Black Hole is a premium solvent‑based tyre and exterior trim dressing formulated to restore and enhance the original smooth appearance of rubber and plastic surfaces.
– The formulation replenishes dark pigments, eliminates dullness and light scuffing, and leaves a durable, hydrophobic finish that repels water and contaminants while maintaining a deep, satin-to-high gloss look.
– Designed for professional and enthusiast use, Black Hole provides fast drying, strong adhesion, and resistance to sling when correctly applied.
Key benefits
– Restores colour and surface uniformity to aged tyres and faded trim.
– Produces a long‑lasting water‑repellent barrier that aids in protection from UV, road grime and light oxidation.
– Solvent-based carrier improves penetration and adhesion for longer durability compared with many water‑based dressings.
– Minimal sling when applied correctly; quick curing for efficient workflow.
Surface preparation
– Thorough cleaning is essential. Remove all loose dirt, brake dust, oils and previous dressings using a suitable tyre and trim cleaner and a brush or microfiber.
– Rinse and dry completely. Product performance and adhesion are compromised on dirty, oily, or wet surfaces.
Directions for use
1. Preparation: Clean and dry the tyre or trim thoroughly. Ensure ambient temperature is within the product’s recommended range (check label).
2. Applicator: Use a dedicated tyre dressing applicator pad, foam applicator, or a low‑lint microfiber cloth.
3. Application: Dispense a small amount of Black Hole onto the applicator — apply sparingly. Work the product into the tyre sidewall or trim using even, circular motions to achieve uniform coverage.
4. Build and inspection: Allow the product to level for a short period; if additional gloss or protection is required, apply a second thin coat after the first has set (do not overapply).
5. Final check: Inspect for runs or excess product on wheels and suspension components and remove immediately to avoid sling.
Coverage and frequency
– Coverage depends on application thickness and surface condition. A thin, even layer provides optimal durability and minimal sling. Reapply as needed based on appearance and exposure; frequency varies with driving conditions.
Precautions and compatibility
– Test on an inconspicuous area if unsure of compatibility with aftermarket coatings, painted trim, or specialty plastics.
– Avoid contact with brake rotors, wheel faces, and other surfaces where sling could cause a safety hazard.
– Solvent‑based formulations can affect certain plastics and factory trim finishes—perform a patch test.
Safety and storage
– Use in a well‑ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Avoid inhalation and prolonged skin contact; wear gloves if required.
– Keep out of reach of children. Consult the product label or Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full hazard, first‑aid and disposal information.
– Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition.
Troubleshooting
– Excessive sling or dripping: product overapplied — remove excess with a clean cloth and reapply a thinner coat.
– Uneven sheen or streaks: surface contamination or insufficient leveling time — clean and reapply as directed.
