Recommended application procedure
1. Preparation: Shake the container thoroughly before use. Work in a well-lit area. For aniline or other lightly finished/delicate leathers, perform a patch test in an inconspicuous location to confirm compatibility and absence of dye transfer.
2. Light cleaning/maintenance: Apply sparingly—either spray a small amount directly onto a clean microfibre cloth or mist lightly onto the surface. Wipe the leather using the cloth to lift soils, then flip the cloth to the clean side and buff to remove any residual product and to restore finish.
3. Heavily soiled areas: For deeper cleaning, spray directly onto the contaminated area and allow the product to dwell for a few minutes to loosen embedded grime (do not allow to dry). Agitate gently with a soft brush or microfibre pad if required, then wipe away residues and buff with a clean microfibre cloth.
4. Work incrementally: Clean small sections at a time to ensure the product does not dry on the surface before removal.
Post‑care and conditioning
– Impact contains conditioning agents designed to remain on the leather after cleaning, providing short‑term protection and improved hand‑feel. For long‑term protection or to rebuild lost oils on older, dryer hides, follow with a specialist leather protector or deeper restorative conditioner as appropriate.
Precautions and compatibility
– Always test on an inconspicuous area before treating the entire surface, especially with aniline, naked, or vintage leathers.
– Avoid use on suede, nubuck, or excessively fragile/leather-backed fabrics unless specified safe by the manufacturer.
– Do not oversaturate seams or stitching to prevent water ingress into underlying foam or adhesives.
– Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
