Description
Titan — Premium Caustic Traffic Film Remover
Product overview
Titan is a professional‑grade, caustic‑based traffic film remover formulated for rapid breakdown and removal of heavy hydrocarbon films, road grime, oils, grease and particulate deposits from vehicle exteriors and commercial fleets. The alkaline, solvent‑enhanced formulation accelerates saponification and emulsification of stubborn contaminants, delivering efficient lift‑off and easy rinsing while enabling reduced mechanical effort.
Concentration and yield
– Concentrated formulation: 1–2 L of Titan concentrate will produce approximately 25 L of ready‑to‑use solution, depending on dilution ratios selected for the task.
Recommended dilution and usage
– Light soiling / maintenance: Dilute at 40 mL Titan per 1 L of water (1:25).
– Heavy soiling / deep cleaning: Dilute at 80 mL Titan per 1 L of water (1:12.5).
– For extremely contaminated surfaces or industrial applications, adjust concentration within manufacturer guidance and always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Application procedure
1. Preparation: Pre‑rinse the surface to remove loose dirt and grit. Work in shaded, cool conditions with panels at ambient temperature to avoid premature drying.
2. Apply: Spray or brush the diluted solution uniformly onto the target area, ensuring thorough coverage of contaminated zones. For best results on wheels and lower panels, apply from the bottom upwards to avoid streaking.
3. Dwell: Allow Titan to penetrate and react with deposits for a short period (monitor visually); do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
4. Agitation: For heavy deposits, agitate treated areas with a soft detailing brush, wash mitt or agitation tool to assist removal.
5. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse with a pressure washer or high‑volume hose until all residues and loosened soils are removed. Repeat application on persistent contamination as required.
6. Follow‑up: After treatment, proceed with a neutral pH wash if necessary to remove alkaline traces prior to protection or polishing steps.
Substrate compatibility and precautions
– Caustic nature: Titan contains strongly alkaline ingredients; it is highly effective but may be aggressive to some sensitive materials. Exercise caution on porous plastics, rubber trims, anodised or polished aluminium, soft lacquered finishes, matte coatings and painted plastics.
– Always perform a spot test on an inconspicuous area before full application.
– Avoid prolonged dwell times or use at elevated concentrations on delicate substrates to prevent etching, discolouration or damage.
– Do not mix with acids or incompatible chemistries.
Health, safety and handling
– Wear appropriate PPE: chemical‑resistant gloves, eye protection and protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation when spraying.
– In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If ingested or severe exposure occurs, obtain medical attention promptly.
– Follow emergency procedures and first‑aid guidance provided in the Safety Data Sheet.
Storage and disposal
– Store in original, closed containers in a cool, well‑ventilated area away from incompatible substances and ignition sources.
– Dispose of rinse water and residues in accordance with local regulations and environmental controls.
Regulatory and best practice
– Use only in accordance with product label and local environmental discharge requirements. Maintain records of chemical use where required by workplace safety standards.
