Recommended application procedure
1. Preparation: Rinse the vehicle or wheel thoroughly to remove loose dirt and reduce abrasive contact during treatment. For wheels, remove from the vehicle where practicable to ensure full access and optimal results.
2. Application: Apply Supernova liberally to the affected areas, concentrating on heavily contaminated zones. Ensure even coverage; avoid applying to hot surfaces or in direct sunlight.
3. Dwell: Allow the product to react for several minutes. Visual darkening or a purple colouration signifies the chemical reaction with iron particulates — allow sufficient time for this reaction but do not permit the product to dry on the surface.
4. Agitation (bodywork): When treating painted panels, lightly agitate the treated area with a clean microfibre cloth to assist loosening of contaminants after the dwell period. For wheels, use appropriate wheel brushes or agitation tools as required.
5. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse treated areas with a high‑pressure jet wash to remove dissolved contaminants and all product residues. Repeat application for heavily soiled areas if necessary.
Precautions and compatibility
– Always perform a spot test on an inconspicuous area before full application, particularly on delicate wheel finishes, anodised surfaces, raw alloys, painted plastics or newly refinished panels.
– Do not allow the product to dry on the surface; prolonged drying may cause staining or require additional cleaning.
– Avoid contact with trim and sensitive materials; protect surrounding non‑target surfaces from overspray.
